Free, nationwide support for people affected by crime and traumatic events.
We are here for you, 24/7.
Change the script on victim blaming.
If someone you care about was a victim of crime,
what would you say to them? Many victims are blamed for what happened to them - often by people they know.
What we say when someone opens up
can make a real difference.

I too have been exploited and targeted by social bullies for this kind of sexual harassment and assault. I have autism and c-ptsd. I've been disbelieved, blamed. I believe you. It's not your fault. These people are entitled and sick. Godspeed comrade.
It wasn't your fault, you were an innocent party of there behaviour. Be kind to yourself. You didn't deserve the crime put onto you.
By some estimates, indigenous children in New Zealand suffered five times the levels of abuse as in Australia. However high in reality, the stories I've heard inside and outside courtrooms frequently left me bereft at the cruelty of some people. Decades of abuse. This is not your fault. We, those of us unscathed, have let this happen, for generations now, while you get the blame. Some of us see it. We'll never stop writing/fighting in your name. Kia toa!
This is not your fault. You are not to blame yourself. Please get support to get thru this.
I have grown up been blamed for everything from my Mum and my sisters who are very good at making me look and feel different in front of people to blame games behind closed doors. This has destroyed my confidence and destroyed my brain of thinking.. It now got to a point of planning a procteion order I am 54 haven't had anything to do with the sisters in 15 years but keep quiet about talking with my Mum who was never on my side anyway..
You are not alone, and you are not to blame.
