Victim Support is an independent incorporated society with a National Office based in Police National Headquarters, Wellington. Primarily located in police stations, 61 local offices around Aotearoa New Zealand support strong local teams nationwide.
Our frontline workforce
Our Support Workers are a mix of staff and highly trained volunteers who are here to support victims from Kaitaia to Bluff, Stewart Island and everywhere in between. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, speaking over 20 different languages between them.
All Support Workers are trained, managed, and supported by dedicated Service Coordinators who provide debriefing, supervision, case management, coaching, and regular training.
Our 24/7 Contact Service is run by a dedicated, professional team of Contact Service Workers who offer victims a gateway to our support and the wider network of services and providers we work alongside.
Our general workforce is ably supported by specially trained teams to support those affected by homicide, suicide bereavement, and family violence.
Frontline staff are led and supported by our service delivery managers, responsible for Victim Support’s nine operating areas, specialist teams, and Contact Service.
Our senior leadership team
Victim Support’s senior leadership team lead the organisation to achieve our mission for people affected by crime, trauma, and suicide.
