The Victims Information Service gives people affected by crime quick and easy access to information about their rights, support services and the criminal justice system.
The Service is a Ministry of Justice initiative and includes the new website and 24/7 helpline – 0800 650 654.
Victims Information help line
The Victims Information Line provides information to victims of crime and their families, connects victims to services and ensures crisis calls are directed to the correct agency. From 1 October 2015, this service was extended to operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Victims Information website
The new Victims Information website provides a one-stop guide to the criminal justice system and support agencies for people affected by crime. The website also has information about victims’ rights, how victims can make a complaint and the Victims Code.
