Victim Support is a not-for-profit nationwide community organisation, which provides information, personal advocacy, emotional and practical support to people affected by crime and trauma throughout New Zealand.

Service Co-ordinators are responsible for co-ordinating the 24/7crisis response service, leading a team of dedicated volunteers and maintaining administration systems associated with these tasks.

Applicants will need:

• Experience in the social service sector with a good understanding of victim issues
• Experience in supporting people in crisis situations
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• To be able to remain calm under pressure and respond in critical situations
• A talent for recruiting, training supervising & co-ordinating volunteers
• To be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• To strive for continuous improvement and implement change to achieve this
• Sound computer and office management skills

This is a demanding position and it requires someone with good initiative, boundless drive and energy.
